Welcome to
Grounded Space
Mental Health Counseling
I’m Micah, a licensed mental health counselor practicing in New York City, helping people build healthier relationships and navigate challenges like ADHD and executive functioning difficulties.
What I Do
At Grounded Space, I believe that being grounded means cultivating a sense of stability within yourself, no matter what life throws your way. My practice is dedicated to helping you develop the skills needed to navigate your inner world with compassion and self-understanding. At its core, therapy is about learning how to connect with your nervous system—and discovering ways to regulate it so you can respond to life’s challenges with greater ease.
Together, we’ll explore:
Self-Awareness
Change begins with recognizing what isn’t working and accepting things as they are in this moment. From this foundation, we can begin the process of healing and rebuilding.
Structural and Emotional Regulation
This might mean building routines and structures that support you while learning how to stay accountable to yourself.
Or it could mean developing tools to help you regulate your emotions—especially if you never had the chance to learn these skills before.
Connection
We’ll explore ways to nurture meaningful relationships, helping you cultivate a social environment that feels supportive, fulfilling, and aligned with your needs.
I wonder if you can ever be at home anywhere, because home is not a place - it’s a state of mind. Really being at home is feeling at home in your own skin…Perhaps you have been searching for home in the wrong place all your life.
